Heather L. Benda, Shareholder
Heather Benda has worked in public accounting since 2000 and became a shareholder in January 2003. Prior to working in the public accounting sector, Heather worked as a supervisor level-accountant from 1993-2000. Heather’s practice has evolved over the years based upon the needs of her clients and the community. Most of her work consists of providing payroll, bookkeeping, tax, and auditing services for individuals, corporations, trusts, governmental and non-profit entities.
Heather is married to Matthew Benda, who is an attorney and partner with the law firm of Peterson, Savelkoul & Benda, Ltd. in Albert Lea. Heather and Matt have two young children – Ashler and Avery. They also enjoy hosting foreign exchange students.
Heather has served on several community organizations. Currently she serves as a Board Trustee for the Naeve Healthcare Foundation, Board Trustee for a local bank, and a Member of the Albert Lea Rotary Club where she served a term as President during 2008-2009. Heather has also served on the Albert Lea Park and Recreation Board of Directors, the KSMQ Board of Directors, as a gala committee chair for Riverland Community College, and solicitor for the local United Way.
